我會覺得是慣用，英文說在那裡，會說It’s over there. 「there」代表那裡。

但是on the wall就已經是一個地方了，再加上there不就變成有兩個？

我會講on the wall 解釋為介系詞片語，就是類似補充說明的概念。
就像中文會說你不覺得那裡應該有個時鐘（在牆上）嗎？其實有沒有那個在牆上三個字其實不太有差別只是補充要把時鐘掛在牆上的感覺。
