It was a story about a boy who was named after the famous flying machine -
(Chi Po-lin) by his father. When he was a kid, he took interest in birds and flying things.
When the boy grew up, he had a dream to fly in the sky. At the age of 47, he sold his house,
borrowed money from friends and gave up his job. All was for his movie -
Beyond Beauty:
Taiwan From Above.
Five years later, on June 10, 2017, the helicopter which carried Chi Po-lin, & father of
two and his helpers dropped to the ground while he was making movies in Hualien. All lost
their lives. The news shocked the public. In the eyes of his friends, Chi Po-lin was a warm
and kind man who always had a smile on his face and almost never got angry or said mean
words to others. Every time the helicopter took off, again he knew he might lose his life. He
knew it was very dangerous but still took the risk. What a great love to the land! The man
who spent the rest of his life on his favorite thing is now with his dream in the sky, looking
after his homeland. Each time when people look above, they will see Chi Po-lin's
remember his love for this island, his favorite.
