Have you heard of online dating? Or have any of your friends used it to meet new
friends? Now around two out of ten people in the USA feel that getting on an online dating
site is not a good idea. However, seven years ago, almost 30% of Americans thought so.
From this ten-point decline, we know that people now feel more positive about online dating.
Six out of ten Americans believe using dating sites is a good way to meet people.

from 44% who felt that way in 2005. 32% of Americans who are single have used
these dating sites, and about one in four of them said they really found someone they love on
the sites.
Although it's more common for people to use the dating sites, it doesn't mean dating on

A study shows that talking on the Internet first is good before people meet each other.
Because when people don't have to talk face to face, they feel more comfortable to be
themselves. And once they are much more open, they can know each other better. So maybe
