Logam: Berwujud padat (kecuali raksa)
mengkilap, penghantar listrik yang baik.
Contoh: Besi (Fe), Emas (Au), Perak (Ag)
• Non-Logam: Berwujud padat, cair, atau gas,
tidak mengkilap, dan isolator.
Contoh: Oksigen (O), Hidrogen (H), Karbon
(C)
Semi-logam (Metaloid): Memiliki sifat
diantara logam dan non-logam.
Contoh: Silikon (Si), Germanium (Ge)
