as a means of exchange. For example, rice can be money if many of the people in your
town are willing to accept it as money. But when you are given rice by your

Before money was invented,

used. E-money is the money that exists only in banking computer systems and has no
20 physical form. Once it's stored on your devices, you can pay at restaurants and stores.
