The present tense is a verb terse used to describe a current activity or
state of being. However, somewhat unusually, the present tense can also be
used to describe past and future activities.
TYPES OF PRESENT TENSE
Present Simple tense
The present simple tense is one of the most common and easy to understand
tenses. It has two main uses to discuss something that is happening in the pre-
sent or to discuss something that happens regularly.

example: I go to Korea.
Present Continuous tense
We use the present continuous to talk about actions happening at the time of speaking
that haven't yet been completed.
S + am/is/are & Ving
example I am going to Korea.
Present perfect tense
The present perfect tense is used to connect an action or event that happened in the
past with the present.

example
I have gone to Korea today.
Present Perfect continuous tense
This is the final present verb tense. The present perfect continuous tense shown us
that something started in the past and is continuing at the present time.

example I have been reading my textbook for a week now.
