英語の質問です。

The importance placed on education in South Korea, the hard work of the students and the investment by parents have all paid off and students in South Korea generally appear to be more successful than students in Japan.

と言う文で、最初、"The importance placed on education in South Korea, the hard work of the students and the investment by parents have all paid off"と言う部分を読んで「2文が接続詞なしで繋がって居る？なんかおかしくない？」と思ったのですが、この1文全部を読んで考えて見たら、A, B and Cと言う形で3文が繋がって居るのではないかと思いました。この考えは正しいでしょうか？（A, B and Cでそれぞれに1語や句ではなく、節が入れられるかどうか確信がありませんでした、、、）
回答宜しくお願いします。

細かいこといいますけど、
文　ではないですよね。

①The importance [placed on education in South Korea]
②the hard work of the students
and
③the investment by parents

①, ② and ③
の構造になっています。
①はthe importanceという名詞を、[ ]で囲った過去分詞のまとまりが後ろから修飾しているだけです。
おそらくplacedを、過去分詞ではなくて動詞と考えてしまったのでしょうね。
①②③はいずれも名詞句です。文　ではありません。

ちなみにandで繋ぐことができるのは、単語・句・節、なんでも可能です。
ただし独立した文と文をつなぐことはできません。
つまり
文というのは、一つのピリオドから次のピリオドまでと考えると
[文]. and [文]. という風にすることはできない。

等位接続詞、andやbutやorは文頭には置けない　
というのはこういうことです。

節と節をつなぐことはできます。
ただし、その場合は等位接続詞の前にカンマをおきます。
[節], and [節] これはOKです。
