ジャネットは新しいことに挑戦するのが大好きな大学生です。
ある日、道を歩いていると、ケーキ教室の建物を見つけました。彼女は料理好きですが、ケーキは作ったことがありませんでした。彼女はこれもいい挑戦だと考え、週間に1回のクラスを受講することにしました。その教室の先生の講義は理解することは簡単で、その他の生徒たちはとても仲良くしてくれました。
でも、ジャネットは先生が言うことを理解していても実際にやってみることは少しだけ違うと言うことに気づきました。
最初の方のクラスではジャネットの思っていたようなケーキは作れませんでした。ある時は、ジャネットは材料の測り間違えで膨らまずに失敗作を作ったこともありました。彼女は惨めな気持ちになりましたが諦めることはありませんでした。最後のクラスでは、ケーキ作りの基礎を習得し、それを楽しむことをできました。
