Jane Goodall, born in England in 1934, for her exceptionally detailed and long-term
research on the chimpanzees in Tanzania. Goodall was interested in animal behavior from an early age.
She even hid in a henhouse waiting to see how a hen laid an egg. Goodall left school at 18 and never
attended university. 25 _, she worked as a waitress for several years, saving money for her trip to
Africa. At age twenty-three, Goodall made her way to Kenya, 26 she met the famous anthropologist
Louis Leakey who later sent her to the African rain forest to study chimpanzees. To many people's

surprise, Goodall's study of the chimpanzees has lasted for more than forty years. The more Goodall
