We arrived yesterday following a six-hour flight. Though it takes me some time to get used to
floating around, it's good to be back. The view up here is just awesome.
Today's Saturday, so I can take it easy. After breakfast, I'll probably play some music on the
keyboard for a while. Then I'll watch my favorite TV show while jogging on the treadmill. Though tying
myself to the treadmill and running facing straight down is pretty weird, I'd hate to get out of shape while
away.
Then, it'll be time for lunch. I always miss pizza, so if it were possible I'd eat that. However, it looks
like we're only having bags of instant beef stew* and brownies.
In the afternoon, I'll call my wife and kids back home. Although there's a slight delay on the line, we
can usually hear each other surprisingly clearly. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss them.
In the evening, I'll probably play chess with my Russian co-worker, or cards with the Japanese crew
members. Hopefully I can pick up a little more of their languages; it makes communicating much easier.
Before going to bed, I'll have a liquid dinner of soup, followed by a dry shower with towels and soap.
Then I'll strap* myself into my standing sleeping bag, and glance at the Earth while reading one of the
novels I brought with me. Just another normal weekend inside the ISS!
