another :不限定的另一個或再一個，可當形容詞或代名詞 ex: I don't like this hat. Please give me another （我不喜歡這帽子。請給我另一頂）沒有限定帽子要那一頂
the other(s) :限定範圍中的其餘的和剩下的全部 ex: I only see David in the classroom. Where have all the others gone? （我只看到David 在教室裡。其他人都到哪裡去了?）
